Recreate and Animate Any Facebook Post Inside After Effects

The Facebook UI Template is an After Effects template that lets you perfectly recreate Facebook's UI inside of After Effects and animate any Facebook post.

Step 1 - Edit Profile Picture

Open the PROFILE PIC composition, import your image, and scale it to fit. The main composition automatically applies a circular mask. You can toggle an online indicator next to the profile picture via controls.

Step 2 - Edit Text Layers

The main FACEBOOK POST composition allows editing of:

  • NAME
  • DATE
  • POST*

*If post text spans multiple rows, adjust the Text Rows setting accordingly. Setting it to 0 excludes post text entirely.

Step 3 - Add Media (Optional)

Open the MEDIA composition and import images or videos. Scale the layer to match the composition width and align with the top. In the main composition, enable the Include Media checkbox and adjust the Media Height slider.

Step 4 - Edit Stats

Stats are controlled via sliders for easier keyframing:

  • of Reactions

  • of Comments

  • of Shares

Individual reaction icons (Like, Love, Care, Haha, Wow, Sad, Angry) can be toggled independently. A Hide Stats checkbox removes all statistics.

Step 5 - Edit Appearance

Auto-center -- Vertically centers content based on height.

Audience -- Changes icons next to DATE (Public, Friends, Custom, etc.).

Show Buttons -- Toggles interaction buttons.

Hide Share Button -- Displays only Like and Comment.

"Like" Post -- Turns the Like icon blue.

Step 6 - Using Animation Comps (Optional)

Pre-made animation compositions enable transitions. Adjust timing via Animation slider keyframes on the CONTROL layer.
