How to Use Monotize (After Effects Script)

Monotize is an After Effects script that lets you make any text monospaced (regardless of font).

Basic Usage

The script operates with straightforward functionality. Select a text layer, then activate the monospacing button to apply uniform character spacing.

Advanced Control

For enhanced character spacing control, hold Shift while you click to add variable spacers and gain more control over the spacing of each character in your text.

Current Status

Monotize is now part of Type -- a toolset for working with text in After Effects.
